A fun project from Embroidery It

More fun!  After I stitched up my first project from http://www.embroideryit.com/ shop I knew I had to do another.

I decided to make the Fall Gift Boxes.  Fall items seem to be good sellers for me so it seemed like the project to try out.

The outcome are these four cute little boxes that could hold candies, jewelry, or any other little treasures your heart desires.

I am thinking that later this year I will be making several sets of these to sell on my Etsy site at http://www.grannydebdesigns.etsy.com

Once more I want to thank Nancy at http://www.embroideryit.com/  for her
wonderful designs!

If you want to make these yourself you can also go to her Etsy shop.  The link is on her Embroidery It blog.

Happy Tuesday from here in snowy Minnesota!

I was given an opportunity to sew up some adorable bags from http://www.embroideryit.com/.  In doing so I have discovered that Nancy's designs are wonderful!

Her site has patterns to use on embroidery machines such as my Babylock Esante.

This design set included two 'in-the-hoop' Valentine Bags. These come with the option to use clear vinyl for the cutout or a contrasting fabric.

The instructions that come with these designs are very clear and well written. You can't go wrong when creating these bags. I can't wait to create more fun things from her Etsy shop!

Again, her website is at: http://www.embroideryit/.com

Please check it out, you won't be disappointed!  You may even find some of her designs in my Etsy shop soon.

Finally, after using the room for the grandchildren's playplace and for family gatherings as it was it was time to finish the space off.

We called a cabinet company and told them what I wanted in the room.

Below is what the outcome of my dreams and drawings came out as.  In my next post I will show some of the things I have created to decorate the space with.

When we built our home in 2007 this room was our large double garage. My husband decided, being the garage had sheet rocked, finished walls it was too nice for a garage.

So, we took out the overhead doors and put in windows and a fireplace, along with some wainscotting. We lived with it this way for several years, until we felt like we had the money to finish it as we wanted.

Our older grandchildren used the room for their sleep-overs when the cousins got together. It was their place to play games, use the computers and watch movies.

It's a new day and I am going to bring my blog back to life. It's been my plan since last fall and I am finally getting to it. Over the next few days I am going to post my latest project, in pictures. We recently finished our family room and I intend to show the process and the end results. I had so much fun doing it!

Sewing for babies

Since I am getting two new grandbabies this fall I decided I simply had to update my own crib bedding with this Noah's Ark fabric.  I also used some scraps of flannel and fleece fabrics that I had on hand.  I love the teddy bear and know I will be making more of those in the future.

Towels for my daughter

On Sunday there will be a large bridal shower here at the farm for my daughter. I made her a towel set, along with a few other gifts, some hand made and some not.
I had wanted to make a Topsy Turvy towel for some time now and it was not only easy to make but so cute!
If I get a chance I will post the other hand made gift I created for her.
